I threw this bottle form on the potters wheel out of a Tile6 kaolin based porcelain called White Rose.
The surface treatment is a result of 120 hours of firing in an anagama wood kiln.
There is no glaze on this piece.
It was fired on its side on one large wad.
The fire side of the wad collected glassy ash and gave this guy a hairdo.
Surface effects are attributed to the ash and flame path taken by the wood burned for fuel.
This piece stands 9 inches tall with the spout.
