This is my NZ wood/soda fired candle holder.
Thrown and altered on the wheel, and trimmed freehand.
It was fired for 30+ hours in a wood/soda kiln.
Might have been the anagama.
Look at the lovely clear blue soda ash that traps carbon on the edges.
There's also a very nice drip all the way down the handle.
These measure about 4 inches wide.
I can do 2 candles and a holder for $60.
I made the candles myself out of pure beeswax poured into antique tin molds.
