This mug was thrown on the potters wheel of NZ clay and trimmed by hand.
NZ offers the perfect backdrop for clear wood ash and records the subtle flashing as well.
The interior was lined with AW2 (1 part blue/4 parts clear).
It was fired for many days in the anagama kiln.
This mug has so much amazing carbon trapping!
It provides one of the contrast driven effects when paired with such a white clay.
It's also translucent.
The mug measures 4 inches tall and holds 12 oz.
