I threw this vase on the potters wheel of lightly mixed reclaim clay.
It was fired for many days in a not so hot part of the anagama.
For the subtleties, it contains some very unique points of intrigue.
The bubble-like crystal formation on the lower half of the pot is so nice.
It cropped up in a field of a little darker ash, and it pops.
Some shino and rutile were added around the spout, but not all of it melted.
I don't mind the matte ochre here. It plays well with the dryer flashing.
This piece measures 7 inches tall and 5 inches wide.
