This bowl was thrown, altered, and trimmed on the potters wheel.
It was then glazed in Penn State Shino and fired in a wood/soda kiln for 30+ hours.
Turned out just wonderful.
Has that shiny gold iridescence.
What a great contrast between the glaze and clay body right where they meet.
And plenty of faces in the profile view to try and make out.
This serving type bowl measures 9.5 inches wide at its widest.
It can hold lots.
