King of Atlantis

This skull was thrown on the potters wheel of NZ clay. 

When it hardened up a little, I used a harp wire tool to carve out the shape. 

Then I fashioned teeth with a fettling knife.

It was fired upside-down on seashells in the front of an anagama for many days.

This artifact measures 5"x 5.5"x 11".
