This skull was thrown on the potters wheel of NZ clay.
When it hardened up a little, I used a harp wire tool to carve out the shape.
Then I fashioned teeth with a fettling knife.
It was fired upside-down in an anagama for many days.
A Miracle of the woodfire ash was repairing a cracked upper mandible by fusing the pieces together from the outside.
Skull measures 6"x 6"x 9".
