This plate was thrown and trimmed on the wheel of Welmer clay.
It was fired in a stack of plates for days in an anagama kiln.
The flashing is so soft and inviting of a meal on this one.
I especially like the unhindered ash build on the bottom.
On one edge of the upper lip some heavier, glittery ash has stuck as well.
The plate measures 9.25 inches wide.
