Sculptural Woodfired Porcelain Bud Vase

I threw this bottle form on the potters wheel out of a porcelain clay called NZ10. 

The surface treatment is a result of 120 hours of firing in an anagama wood kiln.

There is no glaze on this piece.

Surface effects are attributed to the ash and flame path taken by the wood burned for fuel.

This piece stands 5.25 inches tall.

At the widest it measures 3.5 inches.
