This plate was thrown and trimmed on the wheel of NZ clay.
It was fired in a stack of plates for days in an anagama kiln.
Note the carbon trapping on the lip and bottom side.
And the ring of flashing about the wads.
It is fitted with hanging hardware should the occasion arise.
The plate measures 7.25 inches wide.
