This plate was thrown and trimmed on the wheel of B-Mix clay. It was fired in a stack of plates for days in an anagama kiln. I especially like the golden crystal border of ash right up to the darkest ring of flashing. And the range of softer tones in ash and flash. Some great mottled purple crystals formed in the ash. The plate measures 7 inches wide.
