I threw this cup on the potters wheel out of Newcomb stoneware clay.
A chunk of silt from the puget sound, affectionately deemed Vashon Blue was brought to me and I slaked it down, added some ash and rutile and used it as a slip on exterior of this piece.
The interior is lined with Penn State Shino and Rutile.
It was fired upright on shells in an anagama kiln for 120 hours.
