Woodfired Shino Fingers Vase

I threw this vase with one lump of Newcomb clay on the potters wheel.

This piece was fired in an anagama kiln for 120 hours.

Penn State Shino with Rutile glaze was applied to the exterior of this vase. 

Surface effects are also attributed to the ash and flame pattern caused by the wood burned for fuel.

The inside is lined with a Shino glaze.

This vase stands 11 inches tall.
