I threw this bottle form on the potters wheel out of Newcomb10 Stoneware clay.
The surface treatment is a result of 135 hours of firing in an anagama wood kiln.
I lined the piece and dipped the top in Penn State Shino with 10% rutile.
It was fired upright.
Surface effects are attributed to the ash and flame path taken by the wood burned for fuel.
This piece stands just over 7 inches tall.
It measures 4.5 inches at the widest.
